Baltimore - Last year, a record snowfall hit Baltimore just as the US Lacrosse Convention set up shop in the city's Inner Harbor area. On Saturday, overcast skies were a welcome respite from more severe weather as lacrosse coaches, players, and fans turned out for the midway point of the three-day event.

Next week, outdoor lacrosse returns to Baltimore as Johns Hopkins hosts the 2015 NCAA champion Denver Pioneers at Homewood Field in a preseason scrimmage. In its annual yearbook, Inside Lacrosse pegged Denver as its preseason #1, while the Blue Jays check-in in at #11. The magazine correctly called the Pios as the nation's top team prior to the 2015 campaign.
