Dueling Lefties: Eric Lauer of Kent State and Luke Gillingham of Navy Baseball on ASN

Today on the American Sports Network, I was invited to talk about two stellar left-handed pitchers: Eric Lauer of Kent State and Luke Gillingham of Navy. Lauer is currently 8-2 for the Golden Flashes and has 90 strikeouts against just 24 walks while Gillingham is 7-2 with 74 strikeouts and 16 walks. Navy is currently 34-11-1 to date, while Kent State is 32-10 and atop the Mid-American Conference's East Division.

ASN host Matt Lincoln also asked about Gardner-Webb baseball of the Big South and the James Madison University softball team that is currently 40-3. - TF

ASN: Navy Boasts Top Staff and Lineup in the Patriot League

Navy's Luke Gillingham (photo / Phil Hoffmann/USNA)
Annapolis - The Navy Midshipmen right now could be the state of Maryland's best college baseball team as they stand at 22-8-1. Left-hander Luke Gillingham is their ace as they head into the thick of their Patriot League schedule.

I was able to speak with Luke earlier this month for the American Sports Network and get insight into some of the keys that make him effective on the hill at Max Bishop Stadium.  - TF
