Annapolis - The Navy men's lacrosse team laid claim to the top spot in the Patriot League with a 14-6 win over Boston University at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium on Saturday. Sophomore Colin Flounlacker of Kent Island, Maryland tallied a hat-trick and added an assist to lead Navy with four points. The Mids are now 7-2 overall and 5-1 in conference, while the Terriers fell to 6-3 overall and 3-2 in the Patriot.

Less than a mile away the Navy baseball team swept the defending Patriot League champions, Bucknell, on Saturday in their first league games of the season. The Mids (18-9) topped the Bison 4-2 in game one and 7-1 in game two of the doubleheader.

Navy ace Luke Gillingham ran his mark to 4-1 while striking out seven in the first game, while #2 man George Coughlin matched Gillingham's 4-1 mark in the second with the victory.

The two teams play a second doubleheader Sunday at Max Bishop.
